When I start to think about my story, I realize that the beauty industry has been in my life much longer than it was in my heart. At 15, I began working as a receptionist in a local salon. I LOVED the feel good environment! People leaving feeling better about themselves than they came in - a fresh start to the day. I started pursing an apprenticeship for Nail Tech, but my journey had other plans for me.

Fast forward through getting married and having a little girl, beauty entered into my life again… this time in the form of makeup. A stay at home mom, on a mission to increase my household income, I joined a beauty based Network Marketing company. Up until this point, I had always been a “makeup minimalist”. My typical makeup was mascara… yep, that’s it! If I was going out, or to a special event, I would don a tinted moisturizer, blush, and lip gloss. Marketing my new products forced me to take time for myself - I had found the self-love that becoming a new mom can take away. The confidence I gained from my makeup experiences gave me the courage to start doing makeup on others - showing them the love as well.

I started out as an assistant to another makeup artist. Apprenticing with her for two years honed my skills, taught me new tips and tricks, and built my portfolio. I remain eternally grateful to her for the experiences that made me confident enough to start my own makeup artistry business.

Launching this business has been the biggest act of self-love and it is a privilege to pass my love of self-love onto others through makeup. I can truly say that I do what sets my soul on fire!
